So, I saw "Angels & Demons" tonight. First movie I have seen in the theater since "Prince Caspian". I thought that was bad until a friend told me that he hadn't been to the theater since "Passion of the Christ".
Anyway, the movie was entertaining. I enjoy suspense and mystery, so on those levels it was good. Nothing sexual in it. Very few curse words. Fairly graphic, though. As I think about it compared "Da Vinci Code", probably the same amount of violence. "Angels & Demons" will not stir up the same type of controversy that "DVC" did. Without giving it away, I will say that "A&D" is about the sins and corruption of man. It is not about any perceived coverup/falsehood within the church. And because of the controversy surrounding "DVC", that definitely helped sensationalize it.
Finally, the commercials have all been saying that it was better than "Da Vinci Code". I would disagree with that. I like "DVC" better.
