Delinquency

So, if you look below this post you will read the statement, "Check the blog regularly for pictures and updates!" That was posted on June 11. Today is June 22. I think we can safely say that I am officially delinquent on my promise.

My sincere apologies for this delinquency. The schedule here at The Great Escape (for planning team, at least) is in bed around 1am and up at 6:30am. We do that for five straight nights, sleep in one day, sleep in a little less another day, then back to five days in a row of 1-6:30am, and then it's time to head home. It's a CRAZY two weeks of activities, but it is all fun and worth it and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

But I was convicted this morning listening to a friend share about what was going on in his life and ministry setting. As soon as he started talking about his church and youth group, I began to greatly miss my new family at Crossroads! And then I realized very plainly that I had been neglecting them. For the past five/six days, I knew in my head that I needed to make contact. But this morning, God hit me upside the head with a 2-by-4. And I needed to feel it.

So Crossroads, my sincere apologies for "disappearing". We miss you very much. We love you. And we are SO looking forward to being back with you. We will arrive back in town either on Friday or Saturday. And when we do, we have no other travel plans for the summer!
